Point-to-point radio systems
Point-to-Point (PtP) radios are available for almost any use, whether it is dense urban deployment or for long haul. A large range of radios are available to operate in the licensed microwave bands from 6 to 42 GHz (6, 11, 15, 17, 18, 23, 24, 26, 28, 38, and 42 GHz) as well as a range of radios for sub-6GHz PtP solutions, some in the licensed UHF bands. Modulation schemes can be from 4QAM up to 2048QAM. Many of the radios have a wide range for selection of modulation scheme.
For microwave type of radios, a typical data throughput is above 800 Mbps at 112 MHz bandwidth using 1024 QAM modulation. The available channel bandwidths are according to ETSI or FCC standards for individual frequency bands.
A variety of types are offered either with separate or integrated antenna and the radio itself could be chosen as an all-outdoor type or a split-mount type. The client data interface is Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet or E1. The physical Ethernet interface may be either BASE-T via RJ-45 or optical using an SFP transceiver.
A management system will typically be based on SNMP v1/2c/3, with RADIUS access authorization. We have supplied Network Management Systems with dedicated GUIs for individual products and subsystems though Alarm logs, and geographical presentations are covering the total set of subsystems.
DEDICOM can advise you in the selection of radios based on throughput requirements, frequency plan and standards in your area, environmental conditions, tower heights and link distances. A design process normally includes desktop research, site survey and measurements, depending on the complexity of conditions for the individual radio links.
